The newest Android device from Indian smartphone maker Micromax is available to order starting today. Strangely though, this has happened even though the Canvas Gold A300 hasn't been officially introduced yet.
Sure, it got leaked last week, but Micromax hasn't acknowledged it so far (perhaps because it's been too busy with its new Windows Phones).

Regardless, you can now order a Micromax Canvas Gold A300 from Infibeam, and the online retailer even claims to have the handset in stock. Shipping is expected to take 5-6 days, but is free within India.
All of the leaked specs of the A300 have been confirmed by the online store's listing. The phablet sports a 5.5-inch 1080p touchscreen, a 16MP rear camera, and a 5MP front snapper. Running the show is a 2 GHz octa-core processor, along with 2GB of RAM.
There's 32 GB of built-in storage space (which doesn't seem to be expandable), an FM radio, and 21 Mbps HSPA support with dual-SIM functionality. A 2300 mAh battery should keep things powered up, and the software that comes preinstalled is Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
The Micromax Canvas Gold A300 can be yours for Rs. 24000, which right now means around $400.

At this year's BUILD conference in San Francisco Microsoft announced Micromax as its new hardware partner for the Windows Phone ecosystem. Today, we get to hear some new rumors about the first upcoming WP smartphone from the Indian manufacturer.
Micromax's first Windows Phone is rumored to sport a 5-inch FullHD display along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset with 2GB of RAM.
The leak suggests that the device will feature a 13 megapixel rear snapper and a 5 megapixel front facing shooter. Lastly, there is 16GB of internal storage, expandable via a microSD.
If the rumors are to be trusted, the smartphone will run on WP 8.1 and will go on sale in July with a price tag of INR 23,000 to INR 25,000 (about $390 to $425).

Micromax took the wraps off the Unite 2 entry-level handset. The Android 4.4.2 smartphone is priced at the highly reasonable Rs. 6,999 (about $120).

The Micromax Unite 2 is the first smartphone from the Indian manufacturer which boots the latest version of Android out of the box. It will be available in four different colors – white, green, red, and gray.

The specs of the Micromax Unite 2 match its price tag. The device features an MT6582M chipset with 1.3GHz quad-core CPU. In the memory department, the Unite 2 offers a gig of RAM, 4GB of built-in memory, and a microSD card slot.
The rest of the smartphone features include a 4.7” IPS WVGA (800x 480 pixels) display, 5MP main camera with autofocus, and 2,000mAh battery. Connectivity features include dual-SIM functionality and FM radio on top of the standard fare.
