The first rumor of the upcoming HTC One (M8) Prime has hit the web. The Prime, which is believed to be the codename for the One (M8) Max (or One Max 2, if you like), is rumored to pack the company's first QHD display.

More specifically, the screen size is going to be 5.5" and the QHD resolution means the pixel density will be the cool 534 ppi. Under the hood of the phone is reportedly going to be a beastly Snapdragon 805 APQ8084 SoC with a quad-core Krait CPU, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.
According to the specs source, who is claimed to be reliable in the past by the Japanese blog that cites it, the One (M8) Prime would feature Qualcomm’s latest MDM9x35 multimode modem. In addition to its 300Mbps downlink, it is capable of superior carrier aggregation - 40 MHz for FDD Category 6 and LTE TDD.
Additionally, the rumor suggests that HTC would continue to use its dual-camera setup found on the One (M8) in the Prime, too. The main snapper will be allegedly have an 18MP sensor and there will be an 5MP camera on top of it for depth and better out-of-focus shots.
The phone is speculated to become official in September. Currently, the specifications are based on a prototype unit that HTC is testing out. We're yet to see what the Prime would actually look like.

The HTC One (M8) is a properly pretty phone – one that has a design so sleek that it looks great in just about any color. However, that shouldn’t be an excuse not to offer us more choice and we are glad to report HTC is not using it.
We’ve got a press photos of yet another hue that is going to join the HTC One (M8) palette – Pink. The distinctly feminine color is said to launch this year, but that’s as specific as the info from the source gets. We are even not sure if the pink color will be available before or after the red version we heard about earlier.

Anyway, whenever that happens the total number of available HTC One (M8) colors will be brought to five. The smartphone launched in the more classical Gunmetal grey, Amber gold and Glacial silver versions, while the two new colors will add some more punchiness to its design. We’ve also heard rumors of a blue version coming, but there has been nothing solid on that one just yet.
Would you be picking the HTC One (M8) in any of the new upcoming colors or have you already gone for one of the more traditional paintjobs?

Ever since Apple launched the iPhone 5s, gold has become a popular color, with companies like HTC offering a gold colored variant of the HTC One M8 as standard. But there always existed companies who made gold-plated versions of existing phones, and we are talking real gold here.
One UK-based company Goldgenie has decided to give the HTC One M8 the 24-carat gold-plating treatment for those willing to part with 1500 pounds, or £1,580.83 to be exact.
If regular gold is not to your taste, you could choose the rose gold variant, which would set you back by £1,664.17, or the platinum variant, which costs £1,747.50.
In each of these cases, the cost of the phone is included. If you already have an HTC One M8 and wish to get it gold plated, you will have to shell out close to a 1000 quids.

Goldgenie also does plating for other smartphones, and you can check them out from their website below.
