A couple of days ago we showed you the first purported images depicting an upcoming mid-range Nokia smartphone. As this is supposedly going to serve as the successor to the Lumia 820 from 2012, we assume it will be called Lumia 830.
Now it's been spotted in a brand new leaked render, this one courtesy of Chinese search engine Baidu.

The most intriguing thing about it is obviously the new branding: Nokia by Microsoft, as you can see.
As recently as last week it's been rumored that something like this would happen, and in the leaked image above we get our first confirmation of sorts.
So the consequences of Microsoft purchasing Nokia are going to slowly start showing up. One wonders if there isn't a plan to gradually phase out the Nokia brand entirely - maybe in a year or two we'll see Microsoft's name on smartphones by itself.
Until that happens, though, let's focus on the Lumia 830. The new picture tells us that it will have a 13 MP rear camera with Zeiss optics. Previously we heard that it would also sport a 4.5-inch touchscreen, but everything else about it is still a mystery.

Samsung Galaxy F, the more premium version of the Galaxy S5 flagship, has been in the rumorlands since forever. All the rumors have a few things in common - a metal chassis, a QHD display and Snapdragon 805 chipset with 3GB of RAM.
The Galaxy F has leaked already in official-like renders, alleged live pictures showing super-thin bezels, and confirming some interesting details, including the possible release date.
Today we can show you a Galaxy F live picture shedding some light on the metal frame.

As you can see the frame is quite similar to the iPhone 5/5s one, while the front looks the same as the Galaxy S5. According to our insider source, the Galaxy F is very similar with the Galaxy S5, with a removable plastic back but with aluminum frame identical with the latest iPhones.
As usual you should take this photo with a healthy pinch of salt. There's no way to guarantee the authenticity of the image before Samsung actually goes ahead and announces the device. The good news is that with all those leaks lately, that moment can't be too far away now.
We also want to remind you Samsung did announce an upgraded version of the Galaxy S5 with QHD display and Snapdragon 805 chip - the Galaxy S5 LTE-A. The smartphone is intended only the South Korean market though and won't premiere outside of Samsung's homeland.
Thank you, anonymous tipster, for sending this in!

Even though the LG G3 hasn't yet appeared in any markets outside of Korea, rumors of a model that sports a more robust Snapdragon 805 processor have surfaced. Even more compelling is that the device could come as early as July - the same month that the current LG G3 is expected to hit most retailers.

A Snapdragon 805 chip could be just the boost the G3 needs, as the higher resolution causes the Snapdragon 801 SoC to perform below what its 1080p rivals manage. The QHD display requires more processing power, which the Snapdragon 805 should provide plenty of, as well as a theoretical download speed of 225Mbps thanks to the integrated Qualcomm MDM9635 modem.
Samsung has also been rumored to be in development of a Snapdragon 805 variant of its Galaxy S5 flagship, which could go by the nickname Galaxy S5 Prime, or Galaxy F.
The "Prime" moniker has also been tossed around in LG's camp, and the upcoming G3 variant could be the G Prime, a name that LG has recently trademarked.
We'll have more on this story as it develops, so stick around.

Samsung is holding the Galaxy Tab S tablet duo announcement event today and it seems only fitting for @evleaks to post a final leak of the key specifications of both (not that we didn't know some of them already).

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Galaxy Tab S 8.4 will come with two different chipset varieties. The LTE variants pack a Snapdragon 800 chipset with a 2.3GHz quad-core Krait 400 CPU, while the Wi-Fi version offers Samsung's Exynos 5 Octa chipset with a quad 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 and quad 1.9GHz Cortex-A15. All versions come with 3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB storage flavors. There's also a microSD card slot on board, allowing for up to 128GB of additional storage.
By now, you should know the display resolution on both is WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels). This results in a pixel density of 288ppi and 359ppi for the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and 8.4, respectively.
At the back, the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and 8.4 feature an 8MP camera with a 2.1MP at the front. Thanks to the slimmer Super AMOLED screen, both tablets measure just 6.6mm thick, which gets the 10.5" one close to the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet and its 6.4mm waistline.
The weight of the upcoming slates is impressive, too. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 weighs just 294 grams (298 grams for the LTE version), 44 grams lighter than the LG G Pad 8.3. The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 measures 465 grams (Wi-Fi) and 467 grams (LTE).
In terms of battery size, naturally the 10.5" boasts a larger, 7900mAh Li-Ion battery, while the 8.4" features a 4900mAh unit - still respectable for a mid-sized slate.
Samsung will offer both tablets in dark grey and white colors.
Make sure to tune in later today, as Samsung will live stream the event for everyone to enjoy.

It all started with the rumors of Nokia Goldfinger, which was supposed to be the first device to introduce the Windows Phone 8.1. It was also said to become Nokia's first smartphone to introduce the 3D Touch gestures - technology Nokia has been working on for years.
Things didn't turn out this way though. Microsoft acquired Nokia Devices, then officially announced the Windows Phone 8.1. The first phones to run it out of the box are the budget Lumia 630 and the flagship Lumia 930, but neither of them features the rumored 3D Touch though.
We almost forgot about the 3D Touch, but apparently trust-worthy sources close to The Verge say the project is still in development under Microsoft supervision and it will be implemented in the company's next flagship.
3D Touch will introduce Kinect-like gestures for touchless control of your phone. The technology leverages on hardware sensors and clever software optimizations and algorithms. One of the key features of the so-called 3D Touch and also known as Real Motion is that you will be able to hover around the display with your finger and get additional information. For example a hover over the Facebook tile will pop up additional smaller floating tiles for quick messaging and phone access. This sounds similar of the Samsung's Air View feature, although we'll have to see the actual implementation to be sure.

The 3D Touch should allow your phone to do various smart transitions such as ending a call once you slip your phone in your pocket, know you face orientation for smart portrait/landscape orientation switching and activating the speakerphone when you place your phone on a table during a call. We are sure Microsoft would love to pushing a Kinect-like experience on its smartphones as it will certainly serve to boost the popularity of its conse.
It seems the rumored Goldfinger won't be happening though, it will remain just as a developer platform. Instead Microsoft will be bringing the codenamed McLaren flagship later this year to all major US carriers.
That should be the first device to show the new tricks Microsoft is prepping for us. There are speculations that (part of) those gestures might become available via the next Windows Phone update, but that's yet to be confirmed.

Official images of the Samsung's new generation AMOLED tablet, the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, have leaked, showing the tablet from all sides. We've already seen several photos of the device in the wild that revealed details like the new style faux leather back.

Front • back • sides
The side shots, however, reveal some interesting details. For one, the tablet will have a "mere" microUSB 2.0 port unlike the 12.2" Note Pro and Tab Pro tablets, which are furnished with microUSB 3.0 ports.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will have stereo speakers on its sides though, plus a microSD card slot.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will have a QHD Super AMOLED screen (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) and will be powered by an octa-core Exynos 5420 chipset (4x Cortex-A7 @ 1.3GHz + 4x Cortex-A15 @ 1.9Ghz). It will cost around €565.

At this year's BUILD conference in San Francisco Microsoft announced Micromax as its new hardware partner for the Windows Phone ecosystem. Today, we get to hear some new rumors about the first upcoming WP smartphone from the Indian manufacturer.
Micromax's first Windows Phone is rumored to sport a 5-inch FullHD display along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset with 2GB of RAM.
The leak suggests that the device will feature a 13 megapixel rear snapper and a 5 megapixel front facing shooter. Lastly, there is 16GB of internal storage, expandable via a microSD.
If the rumors are to be trusted, the smartphone will run on WP 8.1 and will go on sale in July with a price tag of INR 23,000 to INR 25,000 (about $390 to $425).

Samsung Galaxy Mega 7.0 (or Mega 2) was cleared yesterday by USA's FCC. It supposed to be a massive 7" device, with thin waistline and all-round connectivity that includes full telephony support. That's just like its Mega 6.3 predecessor only on an even larger scale.
There aren't any other specs beside the screen size leaked to date, but we can now show you how the device is supposed to look like thanks to a case maker.

Sure, some of you will categorize the Mega 7.0 as a tablet and not a phablet, but just remember it is supposed to be really thin and light device and you can actually use it as a phone.
Anyway, Samsung is holding a press event on June 12 where the Galaxy Tab S lineup of slates will go official. Maybe the Galaxy Mega 7.0 will participate too.

The news about Apple acquiring popular audio equipment manufacturer Beats Audio came three weeks ago, but the deal is yet to be confirmed by the Cupertino giant. This is about to happen now as The New York Post reports that Apple is preparing to finalize the purchase this week.

The acquisition was initially said to be valued at $3.2 billion, but the company has rounded down the amount to a $3 billion, after what sources indicate is a more accurate evaluation of Beats' actual worth.
Several reports surfaced earlier this week of Beats co-owner Dr. Dre's allegedly inebriated boast that he would become the first billionaire rapper following the acquisition, which some sources claim put the entire deal at risk.
Ironically, the lower $3 billion valuation would mean Dr. Dre would grosses a maximum of $750 million from the deal, which added to the $275 million he earned over the past three years would still put him just shy of a seven figure net worth due to taxes.
Apple would meanwhile get the company's first music streaming service, Beats Music, which many analysts value almost as highly as its popular headphones and speaker brands.

News out of Germany indicates that German carrier Deutsche Telekom has been telling its support staff that the new Apple iPhone 6 will be released on September 19.

While the undoubtedly highly speculative date is to be taken with more than the usual grain of salt, it does coincide with past two iPhone launches, both of which happened during September. As before, it's expected that the iPhone 6 will be released on a Friday, following an announcement which will likely take place earlier a week or two earlier.
The iPhone 6 is strongly hinted at (and even pictured) sporting a larger, 4.7" screen, with rumors of an even bigger 5.5" model somewhere down the line.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Active made an unscheduled appearance yet again. This time around, a press image of an AT&T version of the rugged smartphone made the rounds on Twitter, courtesy of @evleaks.

The leaked image holds absolutely no surprises. It falls right in line with the series of hands-on videos of the unannounced handset, circulating the web over the past week.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Active is expected to debut in the near future. Its rumored specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC, 2GB of RAM, and 16MP camera.

Following a blurry photo of the HTC (M8) Ace's front, a render of the phone's back panel is now upon us. Thanks to the Chinese news outlet ifanr, we can catch a glimpse of what rumors suggest is a plastic variant of the One (M8).

Made entirely out of polycarbonate in order to reduce manufacturing costs and better compete with the Samsung Galaxy S5, the phone seemingly lacks its premium brother's dual-camera setup. The layout, however, is quite similar, but instead of the One (M8)'s 4MP sensor, there's a LED flash. We're yet to see if below it, HTC will fit an UltraPixel sensor or a regular 8MP or 13MP camera.
Meanwhile, HTC teased that "more beautiful curves are coming soon." Citing a quote by English novelist Edward Bulwer-Lytton, the company teases a phone that would feature curves in its design.
Further information on the HTC (M8) Ace is scarce, but some rumors suggest it will have a 5" 1080p display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC with 2.5GHz quad-core CPU. Most importantly, the launch price of the smartphone is said to be CN¥3,000 (around $480). This means that the M8 Ace will be quite a lot cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy S5 when available, placing it in a more competitive stance.

The Apple iPhone 6 mockups and dummies are coming by the dozens these days. Today, yet another maker has published pictured of its upcoming cases, hugging the next Apple flagship.
While we can't completely rely on the images to confirm the actual design, they are usually based on the real dimensions of the next iPhone, which Apple has to provide for its partners in advance. The button and camera cutouts should be accurate too, and judging by those photos they won't be any different they those of the iPhone 5s.

The audio jack will remain at the bottom, alongside the lightning port and the loudspeaker grille. The volume and mute/rotation lock key remain in their usual places, too. We don't get a side view this time, so we are no closer to solving the straight or sloping edges mystery.

We are still at least three (and likely four) months away from seeing the Apple iPhone 6 officially, and we doubt those leaks will be slowing down until then. However, for all the renders and dummies we have seen the specs picture is pretty blurry - a larger 4.7" is probably the most certain bit, although we wouldn't bet the house on that one either.
We are also hearing a slimmer body and thinner bezels and we'll be rather surprised if those don't turn out true. The screen resolution rumors are all over the place, though, and camera info is pretty contradictory, too. Then again, we can't hope for much more so far away from the announcements - perhaps even Apple hasn't fully finalized the specs sheet at this point.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active doesn’t exist officially but there are traces of it all over the place, including Samsung's own web site. The support page for Scandinavian countries (Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark) have a placeholder page for the Samsung SM-G850F.
From previous leaks we know the Galaxy S5 Active will have the same base specs as the regular Galaxy S5, which carries an IP67 certification (matching the Galaxy S4 Active). The new Active model might be be tougher, however, with a MIL-STD-810G rating.

This rating guarantees protection from salt water (IP only covers fresh water), impacts, thermal shock and other kinds of potential damage.
Anyway, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active will have a 1080p screen, a Snapdragon 801 chipset and a 16MP camera.
The SM-G800F will likely be the European version, there will be versions for AT&T (G870A) and Sprint (G860).

Rumors about the latest handsets from LG and Samsung have been leapfrogging each other for weeks now, but a new report claims the two flagship handsets may be headed toward a collision course next month.
Naver.com (via The Droid Guy) caught wind of a potential Galaxy S5 Prime release date. The S5 Prime is the Samsung's purported attempt to one-up its own flagship Galaxy S5 with an even more high-end model.
Shunning rumors of inventory being in short supply, the latest scuttlebutt out of Korea claims the 5.2-inch S5 Prime will launch simultaneously on all three major wireless carriers in Samsung's home country "as early as the middle of next month."
Along with launch availability from SK Telecom, KT and LG U+ comes a target retail price of KRW 900,000 (about $880, £523, AU$940), although the luxurious handset is expected to fall to a more affordable $700 (about £416, AU$748) after pre-release discounts.

Primed for plastic?

Those details aside, prospective Galaxy S5 Prime owners may have a bigger hurdle ahead of them with the possibility the high-end device might be exclusive to Asian markets until supply catches up with potential North American and European demand.
There's also the matter of what Samsung will use for the outer shell of the S5 Prime, which has been rumored to adopt a metal chassis instead of the plastic frame that faced some critical scorn on the Galaxy S5.
Regardless, Samsung is expected to pack a pixel-dense 2560 x 1440 display into the Galaxy S5 Prime powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB RAM and a hearty 3,000mAh battery.
The Prime is also said to include Android 4.4.3 KitKat, LTE-Advanced connectivity, a built-in heart rate monitor, fingerprint scanner and 16MP rear-facing camera, so all it's really missing is a firm release date.

Hot on the heels of the previously leaked red and pink versions, another new color scheme of the HTC One (M8) made the rounds on Twitter. Unsurprisingly, the image was posted on the social network by @evleaks.

HTC One (M8) in blue (click to enlarge)
It is hardly a surprise that HTC will release a version of its flagship smartphone in blue. A blue-colored HTC One (M7) was exclusively offered by BestBuy in the United States.
There is no word on pricing or availability of the new color scheme. We doubt it will be a long wait to find out.

Yet another Apple iPhone 6 leak came in today, courtesy of a case maker who works with the major UK retailer Mobilefun. The interesting bit here is that the design of the smartphone stays quite close to that of the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s, rather going for the iPod touch look evidenced by previous leaks.
Now case makers get information about the size of the upcoming iPhone 6 and the position of its buttons and sensors so they can get their products ready in time, so there is a chance that this leak holds some water. However, the very different design certainly rises a few questions about its legitimacy.

Apple iPhone 6
One possible explanation is that Apple is actually going to use two different designs for the two iPhone 6 versions that the rumor mill often sees. Another theory is that what was allegedly an iPod-like iPhone, could simply turn out to be the next-gen iPod Touch, with the smartphone staying close to its current design.
There's also the option that case makers, who only have dimensions and sketches to rely on have to do a great amount of guessing about the actual look of the upcoming smartphone and that all we have seen so far are just shots in the dark.
Smart money is certainly on that last explanation, but we can't help but hope that there's more to those leaks. It's just that the curious geeks inside us refuse to settle for anything less.

It’s an iPhone 6 leak type of weekend - our inbox was buried with all sorts of tips about Apple’s upcoming smartphone.
After getting compared to the iPhone 5s and the Galaxy S5, the iPhone 6 now sits besides the iPod touch. These alleged comparison shots make the design cues the new smartphone model takes from its music player cousin all the more obvious.

Alleged iPhone 6 prototype and iPod touch
Additional iPhone 5s / 6 comparison shots made their way out of China along with dimensions - 138 x 67 x 7mm. That’s considerably larger than the 135.3 x 71.9 x 6.1mm we estimated from the earlier leak.

iPhone 6 prototype next to iPhone 5s
Keep in mind that this new iPhone is said to have a 4.7” screen, accounting for the larger size.
Apple security in China seems to have really broken down as an iPhone 6 dummy was photographed all around a city. Note that this could also be an upcoming knockoff of the iPhone 6 (remember the iploxe?).
You can see all photos of the city tour at the Moscoat forum, but these in particular caught our eye. First off, the iPhone 6 gets dunked in water - either because it will be water resistant or because this is a non-working dummy - and then it gets sized up against the iPhone 5s and HTC One (M8).

Alleged iPhone 6 prototype around town and under water
Do notice that this is the black color option with the gold ring home button we saw yesterday.
Thanks to everyone for all the tips!

The Apple iPhone 6 rumor mill is getting busier by the week with rumors flying around pointing to display sizes, sapphire coatings and a number of dummy units and panels hinting at the design of the device.
The latest leak shows a new Apple iPhone 6 dummy only this time it comes in the Gold color, complete with a golden accent around the Touch ID home button.

The dummies come in Space Gray, Gold and Silver and look to carry an HTC-like unibody. The back is interesting as it appears to have a smaller camera lens - or perhaps it only appears smaller on a bigger iPhone body.

It's unlikely that these dummies represent an exact replica of what Apple plans to unveil this summer but are interesting to look at even for the sole purpose of giving us an alternate idea to what is currently the iPhone.
Currently rumors suggest the 4.7" iPhone 6 could arrive as early as August.
